Dmitriy was born in Vinnytsya, Ukraine and started dancing at the age of six. Gymnastics and ballet were part of his dancesport training. Dmitriy captured his first major title at the age of twelve, becoming Ukrainian Junior National Champion. In 2009 he achieved a master's degree in Professional and Olympic Sports, Dance, and Sport Medicine. He currently resides in Charlotte to advance his career as a professional dancer with his partner Gabriela and is one of the head instructors at Dance Center USA .
Willie Frazier began his love for dancing at a young age through street and break dance. He started ballroom dancing in high school where he fell in love with it and discovered his new passion. Willie became very active in competing and had won many competitions in the South East. Willie also became the University of North Carolina at Charlotte 49er Social and Ballroom Dance Club Captain and traveled with the team to many Collegiate Competition. Now Willie is an instructor at Dance Center USA where he loves to share the joy of dancing with others. His favorite part about teaching is watching his students faces light up when they find out that they can dance to their favorite songs.
Gabriela began her dance training at the Charlotte City Ballet when she was just three years old. At the same time she got inspired by dancesport and was officially recognized as the first junior ballroom dancer in the Charlotte area. As a youth competitor Gabriela possessed many titles and won numerous competitions including Manhattan Dancesport Championships, Heritage Classic, and Ohio Star Ball. With her dance partner Dmitriy they are amateur national finalists and ten dance vice-champions. Now as professionals they represent the United States on international level. In 2011 Gabriela established Dance Center USA where she enjoys teaching people of all ages how to dance.
Shelby Scott grew up in Rock Hill and has loved to move, twirl, and dance from an early age. She started training in competitive gymnastics at the age of 7 and when she got to high school she joined a theater company where she danced and was introduced to circus performance. Aside from her gymnastic training Shelby also studied, ballet, modern, and jazz and graduated from Winthrop University with a B.A. Degree in Dance. During her time at Winthrop, Shelby performed and choreographed many Modern and Jazz pieces and was also part of the Rock Hill Rockets that performed annually during the holiday season. Shelby also studied in Australia and trained at the National Institute of Circus Art where she became an expert at Aerial Acrobatics. This experience inspired her to audition and join the New England Center for Circus Art where she also started her ballroom dance training. Shelby continued her ballroom dance training with some of the top ballroom professionals in the nation and now has joined Dance Center USA as an instructor. Shelby's beautiful and spunky personality shines through when dances and loves sharing that joy with her students.
Stacy Yergens grew up in Fort Wayne, IN and studied tap, jazz, ballet, modern, lyrical, and ballroom from the age of two. She began competing when she was ten years old and won many competitions at the regional and national level in all dance styles. During her first year of college she began her career as a ballroom dance instructor and taught at a studio in Indiana until she received her Bachelor’s Degree in Public Management. Stacy decided to move to Charlotte in February of 2014 to further her career as a professional ballroom dancer and instructor. She currently competes in American Style Smooth and Rhythm. Stacy is excited to participate in this Dancing With The Stars fundraiser event and looks forward to sharing her passion for dance with her celebrity partner Ron Edwards!
Ezequiel Pagan is originally from San Juan, Puerto Rico where latin music and dance run through his veins. Coming from a latin family dance was always surrounding him, he even played in a Latin Band with his father as a kid. Ezequiel became in love with dancing when he started taking Latin dance lessons in Charlotte as a young adult. Dancing became his passion and decided to started competing and joined forces with his current partner Aubrie Salzman. They recently competed at the South East Salsa Open and won the Charlotte qualifiers. Ezequiel has been teaching latin dance in Charlotte and has partnered with Dance Center USA to share his love for dance.
