With April fast approaching, we know that schools are engaged in preparing materials for the upcoming school year. With this in mind, we wanted to update you with some information regarding how and where parents and students will log in and or create accounts after the transition on April 1st.
After April 1st, the parents and students who already have accounts on www.planeths.com should log in at www.arbiterathlete.com. Their username and password will be the same as it was for www.planeths.com.
Any new parents or students signing up should do so at www.arbiterathlete.com.
However, if they go to www.planeths.com and log in they will be redirected to the school on www.arbiterathlete.com and not have to sign in again. Technically any accounts created or logged into from either www.planeths.com or www.arbiterathlete.com will end up in the same place. It is all one code base now, but the template interface will be set to the ArbiterAthlete type on April 1st.
We recommend that any information going out concerning logging in or creating accounts after April 1st and for the upcoming 2018-2019 school year be pointed to www.arbiterathlete.com.
The navigation to the forms and account linking will be the same, but with the layout of ArbiterAthlete, it will be more intuitive.
A current sports physical dated April 1, 2017 or later is required for any athlete who wants to play a sport during the upcoming 2017-18 school year. You can print all of the necessary forms from this website, get them filled out, and turn them into the school.
OR, Starting this year, you can submit everything online. There is a website as well as a mobile app that lets you fill out most of the forms on it. And for the forms that need to be filled out by hand, such as the physical exam form itself, you can simply take a picture of it with your phone and upload it to the same website or app.
The website is PlanetHS.com. You can click there to take you to the website to get started. Or, you can text the message S1373, to the number 69274. That will text easy directions to your phone that will help you get set up that way.
Once you create an account in PlanetHS, it will be good all the way through high school. The high schools will require all athletes to utilize this online system rather than accepting paper copies of these forms, so this is a great chance to get the process started!
Below are some directions for how to get started with PlanetHS and how to get the physical form uploaded to the site. Even if you've already turned in your paper copy, you might want to go ahead and create an account anyway to give it a try. Thank you!
In order to tryout for an athletic team, all FMMS students must:
1) Have a physical dated on or after April 1, 2017 (Must be on file at FMMS and on the SCHSL approved physical form). The South Carolina High School League (SCHSL) physical form includes 3 pages: a History Form, a Physical Examination Form, and a Parent's Permission form.
*Physical forms may be found under the "Forms & Information" tab on this FMMS athletic web page.
Please note: The athletic fee is used to pay for coach stipends and travel to league games. Thank you for your support of our athletic teams!
